Lexy: Hey ladies of Nylon Pink! I really
appreciate the fact that you guys are taking
time out from your busy schedule to do this!
So thanks!! Please be so kind to go ahead
and introduce yourselves! =)
Kaila: hey hey I’m Kaila from the band Nylon
Pink
Kit.E.Katt: Hello, I'm Kitt.E.Katt
Lexy: So tell me about how you guys got
together? I know Kaila, you’ve been in the
music industry before. How does it feel to
be back in it and how does it feel to work
with Kitt.E.Kat?
Kaila: I feel like I’ve finally found the
right pocket of the music genre that speaks
to me the most and its great to find synergy
in a close friend, all our band members get
a long so well, so we play well together and
its just about having fun and making good
music.
Lexy: Now, I know you ladies have a TV show
also. How is that going? Walk us through an
“ordinary” day as Nylon Pink if you don’t
mind.
Kaila: haha, ordinary is a word that has no
place in our lives…our lives are pretty
chaotic and its fun sometimes, but sometimes
it is just incredible stressful. Every day’s
different, we could be doing a photo shoot,
traveling to perform with our band, writing
songs, rehearsing, interviewing other bands
and artists for our tv show, or talking to
our fans on stickam.com, or developing new
jewelry pieces, we are all over the place
Kitt.E.Kat: It's definitely not a 9 to 5
job. I don't think either of us could stand
a routine schedule. All I know is there
aren't enough hours in a day!!!
Lexy: Kitt.E.Kat, I noticed that you are a
designer/stylist with your own clothing
line. What are your influences in the styles
you release?
Kitt.E.Katt: I'm influenced by Harajuku
fashions, Betsey Johnson, Patricia Field,
Club Kids, bright colors, rock n' roll, and
whatever is floating in my head that day.
It's all about having fun and creating
something original and interesting.
Lexy: Describe your sound for the readers
and listeners who haven’t heard you guys yet.
Kaila: Anime influenced electro rock, songs
about drugs, sex and drama
Kitt.E.Kat: drama especially in
relationships!
Lexy: Many people have noted that you two
are “sex symbols” or the “sexy of rock,” how
does that make you two feel hearing that?
Kaila: I never thought of myself as sexy,
but we do love sexy clothing
Kitt.E.Kat hahaha...."sex symbols" isn't a
bad image to have....
Lexy: Where do you guys see yourself in the
next few years as Nylon Pink and as
individuals? Do you guys have any specific
goals you are trying to reach within a
period of time or are you guys just winging
it?
Kaila: Definitely looking to build an empire
with our band Nylon Pink and our fashion
brand Hello Drama, with Gwen Stefani and No
Doubt as a model
Kitt.E.Kat Yes we are slowly building our
empire-)
Lexy: I must say, your outfits are colorful,
cute and sexy. Are you guys doing your own
styling or do you have someone else doing it
for you?
Kaila: Yah we do our own styling, Kat
mostly, which can get really exhausting,
it’s a lot of work
