you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
JimmyBoi:
What It do Everyone out there, This Ya Boi JimmyBoi aka The
Hustlaz Choice Representin' Live2Hustle Ent. Born and
raised in Houston,Tx Alief to be a exact. To make it easy,
I'm just another cat out here thats tryna make it... I
ain't better then anyone nor is anyone better then me.
Life's a HUstle and we wake up every day to make a better
life for ourselves and our loved ones.. thats Live2Hustle.
Its a way of life mang... And if anyone Doubts me then
come see me mang. I ain't got nothing to prove to anyone,
I'm doin' it for the True Hustlaz... Real recognize real,
ya dig?

What is the story behind your nickname JimmyBoi?
JimmyBoi:
Really there's nothing to it... I used to be called Phatboi
or Phatboi Jimmy so i just put the two together. Keep it
plain and simple, ya dig? Once i was thinkin' of calling
myself J-Money "Laughs" I'm glad i ain't go that route.
PA:
When and how did you get into the rap game?
JimmyBoi:
I got into the music business in 2004, Been pushing my
label Live2Hustle Hard since late Summer 2005 Basically
It fell into my arms brah.. I never in my mind thought i'd
be doing this. Its simply a blessing. Shout out to Kiotti,
The man that showed me that i could make rappin' a
profession.
PA:
What musical artists influenced you mostly?
JimmyBoi:
My Pops, aunts and Uncles. They were like the beatles in
Vietnam back in the 70's and big in the vietnamese
Community till this day. So They influenced me...
PA:
Man, Houston has been coming out with lots of good names
lately. What's going on over there?
JimmyBoi:
Mang.... All these names you hearing bout now been here.
We been on this independent thing forever and gettin'
that bread. Its a blessing.. I still remember when people
were making fun of screw music and now everybody and
they mama Jammin' it. We everyday Hustlaz, Even if the
Majors don't fuck with us, we still gon get money and
get our music out there... We deserve our respect!
PA:
How did you hook up with Sean Paul from YoungBloodz to
collaborate with you?
JimmyBoi: All i can really say is God Works in
Mysterious ways and Its unexplainable. We met and kicked it
and now we are good friends and talk often. He calls
and see's how i'm doin and if i need help and stuff.
Real recognize real... We got a couple of songs together, i
just ain't release it yet. When the time is right, its
gon' BLow!!! Its crazy to me still.... Not too long ago i
was jammin to dudes music and now we kickin' it...

There are already strong rumors circulating on the net that
you have a very big potential to make it mainstream in the
music industry. Your thoughts on this?
JimmyBoi:
My thoughts on this... People are right, I do have the
Potential but just having the potential don't mean
Ima
make it. We all got the potential to do whatever we want,
its all up to the Man above. So if i do make it which I
believe i will then You hearing it now, It was God that made
it happen. Of course I hustled my ass off to get there
but he made it happen. At the end of the day, That's what it
is.
PA:
You have mentioned that you do not want to be seen as
another asian rapper on the scene. Can you elaborate a little
more?
JimmyBoi:
Let me rephrase that.. I don't wanna be seen as anybody
else. I don't got no handicap and i don't want no leeway. I
wanna be treated like the next man, If i got what it takes
to make it then let it be if not then that's what it is, ya dig? I'm here to spit for the Hustlaz.... Whether it be a
9-5 job or you moving them thangs. I'm spittin ' for
yall mang.
PA:
What rap or R&B artists out there would you like to
collaborate with the most?
JimmyBoi:
Whoever wants to collab with me... We all wanna make good
Music, Let's make it then.
PA:
Man, How much was your Grill? Don't tell me you had to rob a
jewelry store?
JimmyBoi:
"Laughs" YOu wild... Naw i ain't rob a jewelry store. My
grill Cost me 15 Grand. Shout to to me Boy Tv
Johnny... YOu wanna grill? HOlla at me! Update- I just added
some more stuff to ma grill, Can't Top it now. 20
Grand in ma mouth ya heard?!?

Hmm, what do you tell an ignorant person who says that you
are just trying to be "black"?
JimmyBoi:
To come to Houston and See how i live it and how I get it.
I'm 100% Vietnamese and I'm proud of that shit mang.
Can't nothing a person can say to me to change my mind.
Don't hate cus You can't do it like me... For the
people sayin' i'm tryna be black... Well Suck Ma yellow D*&K

Your new album was just recently released. Is it available
for sale to oversea buyers?
JimmyBoi:
It wasn't my Album, Its a Mixtape Series I got out called
Puttin' in work. Its basically my solo Mixtape with
some Original tracks i'm droppin' every couple months till i
Drop my real Album... "Live2Hustle Tha Album".
PA:
Why did you call it "Puttin in Work"?
JimmyBoi:
All my life i been Grindin' and hustlin' and sometimes i
don't even know what i'm grindin' or hustling' for. Its
just in my mind and heart to Hustle hard for whatever it is
i want.. Cus if you want something bad enough then
you'll have it and if you don't got it... Obviously you
ain't want it bad enough. So Puttin' in work is me
showin' the rest of the world What i do everyday...
Hustle!!! And I'm releasin'g all my solo mixtapes and
my documentary "Puttin' in work" and Ima keep puttin in
work...
PA:
Who did your beats for your new album? Did you write your
songs?
JimmyBoi:
I get production to Whoever got the Hot stuff basically.
We got Dj Loopy as our in House Producer, Shout out to Melv,
we got tracks from him. Grizz who made the Down South Boys
beat. Right now I'm workin' with Ta "HeadBangaz" who just
signed to Young Jeezy on some fiya so be on the Look out
mang. And About writing My songs... Hell yeah i do.
The things i spit in my songs is the truth bout me, AIn't
all the truth cus I can't say some things but I do'nt lie
bout mine. If you can't write your own raps "Please forgive
me God" then why you Doin' it then?
PA:
Okay now, if you had the choice to choose between Tila
Nguyen, Natasha Yi or a PS3: Which one do you go for?
JimmyBoi:
"Laughs" I'd say Ps3 and don't ask why...

JimmyBoi:
